The difference between now and then is in 1920s when they banned alcohol it was legal before they banned it. Marijuana was never legal, due to its harmful effects.

If we wouldn't have prohibition on marijuana the US could tax the profits of the weed business. It would be like a cash crop. If the US would put a tax on that was just ten percent they could make millions.

Prohibition of alcohol is bad for the economy due to all the breweries we already have in the united states. Many people would out of a job.

Racism has been present forever on everything. It has been started through rumors or just through hate. An example could be during WW1. The Germans were hated through rumors. During the progressive era many immigrants were hated, such as the irish.

The United States have been an imperialistic country. Lets just look at roosevelt. During Roosevelts presidency the panama canal was a big imperialistic move. There is good good progession and there is bad. I think that progression should be towards what is suppose to be freedom not putting it more towards socialsim and communism. That is because we havn't legalized everyone to use marijuana. You are comparing the damage of a drug that isn't even made legal to use yet. I think that doing this is unjust. You just don't want the minimum wage law out of greed. You need to give worker more for what they do. So what if there not worth the 7.25 an hour, that what firing people is for. You can't just monopolize the work place with the only jobs open having crudy pay.

Being a working woman of this time I am for this minimum wage because I need the money I deserve to support my family. Business owners can monopolize easily if there is no minimum wage, how? People like me need jobs and they have to take what they can get. Large business owners realize this and take advantage of it by have workers that work dirt cheap, giving them a very large profit. Adding a minimum wage would help this crisis.

You should not let children a this age even work yet because they are not ready yet. The conditions are not even that great for adults that work in these factories. People should be able to wait at least till a kid is sixteen to start dropping them into factories.

I am a working woman of this time and also being a mother I am against working these small children. I don't want my child to be working in a factory in horrible conditions all day long. Many children have died already and they should be going to school getting common education.
