There might not have been any reason to enter the war but that was the time to get out to other countries to let them know we wouldn't back down. We wanted other countries to feal afraid.

I disagree with you because now we have protection laws so why do we nees Unions. It makes sense back in the day when there was no pretection laws but no that there is, who needs them.

I believe this trend will still be going on because people get paid for wages now, an they have good benefits. It's understandable how they were needed back then since there were few or no worker pretection laws. But now with the laws today why would we need them?

I am aginst the government putting limits on imigrants. So what I'm saying is I want them to come over and work. Especially if I have to work 60 hours a week now. I am just a child, I dont need to be working that much. So if immigrants come over and work I dont have to worry about working so many hours.

I disagree with you because as a child working 60 hours a week can be very tiring. Children working in factories can be very dangerous sometimes. Now that they would be working 60 hours a week they will be tired when operating machines. This could cause them to be seriously injured and get hurt. They could lose a finger or something. Now as a business owner how would you like that if a child got seriously injured and his/her family decided to sue you.

I agree with this because teachers have a good salary and can make a fine living. They have plenty of benefeits because they get the whole summer off just like students. Some teachers even are coaches for sports and that will increase their salary. So they have plenty of benefits already and dont need to worry

But this is the only way we can show business owners how we feel and to express our beliefs. If you bring in Pinkertons we will never be able to do that now. We are not over controlling business owners we are just sending a message through their head.

As a child I am against bringing in Pinkertons. I believe that workers have the right to go on strike or protest in what they believe. Pinkertons are just going to come in and destroy all beleifs of the workers. As a worker going on strike is the only way to get to business owners how we feel about the company, and now it is going to be all gone with the use of pinkertons.

I understand that most children need money for their families but what their getting paid is ridiculously low. You cant just make them do what you want them to do. Working in a factory is very dangerous for a child and can get seriously hurt. If they are going to work for you then you should deffinately pay them more.

I am for Obama's economic plan. What he should do is tax millionaires because thats what I think would be best for the economy. People that have lots of money would deffinately be able to afford it. By doing this would help people with not that much money and be best for the economy overall.

As a child I am deffinately for the Keating-Owen Bill. This will cut down on the hours that I will work. So there will be no long days of hard and tiring work, and then I will have a lot more free time. With the bill I will also be able to go back to school and get a good education. This can help me in the future to get a better job instead of working in a factory for the rest of my life.

I am against this because I am a child and the more immigrants than come and work means less work for me. I would be very happy if that happened because that would make my life a lot easier. I wouldnt be as tired and would have more free time. A lot of adults would disagree with me because they need work more than me. I am just a child and then i could go to school instead of working just about everyday.

I disagree that people should know that they are making 7.25 an hour so they dont have to worry or can live off the amount they make. People in the world should be making more if they have a more advanced jobs than other people.

I think that we should get rid of the minimum wage. Having minimum wage is gettin rid of job growth and limilting children to go on to better things. Children are losing education if they could just go and get a regular job and earn 7.25 an hour. Children are the new begining and should be expanding their education to go on and get better jobs with better pay.

I disagree with people being able to work longer if they can because there are some children out there that are able to work long hours but it is very tough on them. Children should not be forced to work long hours if they dont have too.

I am 8 years old and I am for the 40 hour week. Before workers used to work 10 hours a day, so that was about 60 hours a week. 60 hours a week would be very tough on me. Working long hours like that would make me very tired. All or most children work in factories and some operate dangerous machinery. So working those long hours would be very dangerous for a child to operate machinery because they could get hurt. Only working 40 hour weeks would give children more time to play and have fun.
