Not everyone becomes addicted to marijuana. People only become addicted to it if they think they are. Marijuana doesn't create any physical dependence. People do drugs because they choose to, just because you do one drug that doesn't mean you are going to want to do a whole bunch of other drugs.

As we have seen through history prohibition does not work. If people want to do something they will find a way to do it wheather the government wants you to or not. With both alcohol and marijuana, they are substances that will only have a bad effect on your life if you use them in excess or in a non controlled manner. If the government would just legalize it they would be able to collect taxes on it and they would be able to keep much better control over it. That already happened with alcohal when it was legalized and I believe the same would happen with marijuana if the government legalized it. Also not allowing people to do something will cause people to become more curious about it.

WW1 was a very bloody and dirty war. Trench warfare was barbaric and many lives could have probably been saved if different fighting methods were used.

Just because the civil war never happened doesn't mean that African Americans would have never stood up for their rights. Eventually African Americans would have gotten their rights even without the civil war.

While education is important, many families needed their children to work back then so their family would have enough money to survive.

The U.S. would have many problems if we stopped trading with China. Most of the stuff we buy is made in China and we also are greatly in debt to China.

WW2 was Germany's fault. They are the ones who began the war and they killed Jewish people simply for just being Jewish.

Many other countries also had control in the Caribbean at the same time as us. Spain, France, Great Britain and the Netherlands also had claims in the Caribbean.

I do not believe the government should be able to censor the Internet. Our country is built around freedom of speech and expression and censoring the Internet would take that away.

People moving west is what populated our entire country. We got land from many other nations so that we could have a unified country.

I disagree, we felt that we were the superior country and that we needed to get involved with other countries to make them more like us. If we had stayed out of other peoples business we probably could have avoided a few wars.

I agree, if we are ever going to get out of debt we need to focus on are own problems, because as we have been helping others our own country has been deteriorating.

They also wanted to go west because of the news of gold. They thought they could move out west, find a bunch of gold and strike it rich.

I agree, if it wasn't for yellow journalism the U.S. public could have been correctly informed and the war may have never started because they would have known the facts.

I also agree with you. Racism is a prejudice that people will always have. The fact that a person looks different than you is always a way that people will use to discriminate. Plus, some people cant help it they are raised in a racist family and they grow up with those beliefs.

I believe that the Panama Canal was a very good idea for the United States because it saved both time and money for people going from one coast to the other. It really boosted the economy on the west coast.

However, some families needed the money desperately and their children had to work wherever they can find a job. They had every right to work.

I agree, the panama canal offered many different advantages such as allowing ships to get from the east coast to the west coast of North America much faster. It also made things much more affordable to ship because the trip would be shorter.

However, at the same time without regulations to keep people from working a certain amount of hours per day families that desperately needed the money were able to work many hours to make enough money to allow their family to survive. Also, if you were careful and did your job correctly the working conditions should be just fine.

I believe the U.S. made the correct decision to enter WW1 when they did. If the U.S. had waited to enter the war later there is a chance that Germany and the Central powers could have won the European front. When the U.S. finally would have entered the war they would have had all of Europe to contend against.

I agree that Pinkertons are helpful. They keep the companies work force who aren't complaining from being harassed by the protesters.

If workers want to strike for better conditions then they should be able to voice their opinions and try to make a change.

However some families need another person earning money in their family. If the family needs the money the child should be able to work to help support them.

I am against the immigration reform bill because the people come here from other countries because times are rough in other in their countries and they deserve a fair chance to make their own here in the U.S.

You should be paid differently depending on what job you have. Some peoples jobs are much more important than others and you should be paid on how important your job is.

Children are not taking up so much space that you can't have any more machines. If the machines are made safer you will have less injured workers which will increase your productivity and make you more money.

I believe unions are still needed because they are a good way for the workers to get their demands met by a company. Conditions have gotten much, much better but there are still things workers need to argue.

The immigrants coming in are not a problem. You will have a job as long as you work hard and don't make unreasonable demands on me and my company.

Just because you don't want your child working until they are 14 doesn't mean that there aren't other families desperate for the money that needs every one of their family members working to support themselves.

I disagree with the Keating-Owen Bill because I believe it is the kids choice on whether he wants to work for my company and if he does want to work I should be able to work him whatever hours I want. I as a business owner should not be punished for working my employees, no matter what their age.

I am against them putting a limit on immigration because the immigrants are a big source of workers for my company and they are willing to for long hours for little money because they are desperate for jobs.

However if children are working less they are making less money and their family could be depending on that money for their next meal.

However there are some people that are desperate for jobs and working for pennies a day will at least give them some money which is better than nothing.

I am against minimum wage because I believe that people should be paid on their quality of work. If I don't believe your work is worth $7.25 you shouldn't be paid that. Also, people are always looking for work and if one person wont work for $5 an hour I'm sure I can find someone else who will and is desperate for work.

I believe a 60 hour work week is fine because the people get paid for every hour they work. The more hours they work, the more products we will produce. With our company able to sell more products our wealth will grow and the workers will be paid better.
