It's so hard to find a job anyway, I'll take what I can find. That doesn't mean I want the chance of getting injured every day when I go to work.

I barely get to see my parents anymore because we are all forced to work so often and are extremely tired when we get home. They'd be happier to work if they knew they got to home at the end of the day and just sit with their families. Why do they have to work 10 hours a day, 6 days a week? Isn't 8 hours a day, 5 days a week enough to make you money?

I, as a child, disagree with the Keating-Owen bill. My family needs the money, so I'm forced to work. Shouldn't children get easier jobs and less hours? It's a struggle to find work anyway. Hire adults for the hard jobs, and children for easier things!

I think we still do need unions. Unions aren't just used to make sure there aren't bad working conditions, but people in unions also can get paid more and get more vacation. Unions can just make things better for workers overall.

You gave us jobs, with horrible conditions. As a child in this environment, I fear that I'll get injured on these machines. Why not give us jobs with better conditions to begin with? Better condtions=less strikes.

Pinkertons aren't needed. If no one is getting hurt yet, why bother bringing in the pinkertons and starting fights? The terrible working conditions we have are a good reason to strike. How are conditions going to get better if we don't fight the bad conditions?

I don't think children should be forced to work. Many jobs are very dangerous, and the kids could get hurt. I know, as a child, I wouldn't work if I didn't have to.

I don't think the immigration reform is needed. As a child laborer, i'd be happier if an immigrant had my job and I didn't have to work.
