I agree with this statement, 100%. I am also a business worker and I will decide what to pay my workers by how efficient there work is to my liking. If they don't like it they can find a new job. I wish them luck to that because many people are looking for jobs out there and there are plenty of immigrants and children who would be greatful for my pay.
The Keating-Owen bill should not be put into affect. I am a business owner and I have a ton of kids working at my company. I am able to pay them less and as they are young they will learn the job well and be better at it if they stay at my company when they are older.
As a business owner I am against a law on immigrants going for jobs. The more immigrants I can get to work for the company the less money I need to pay them as my workers. The will save me plenty of money so I can have the luxuries I deserve and to keep up my company.
I am against minimum wage. I think business/company owners should be able to pay their workers whatever they feel is sufficient. There are different types of companies that make different things and $7.25 may be too much to pay workers for the type of job they are doing!
Cutting back to a 40 hour work week does not help with saving up money. If we stayed at a 60 hour work week you would be able to save even more money because the more hours you work the more money you earn. That would also benefit for my business because the more products we make the more successful we become.
In a 40 hour work week there isn't enough time to get done what has to be done. The product amount is much lower than in an 80 hour work week. The woman and children would be earning more money for their families if they worked more hours and our product amount would also be greater so it's a win, win situation if the hours stayed at 80 or even 60.
The workers in my company are paid by the hour. 40 hours isn't enough time to make the amount of products that I wish to accomplish in a day. If we stayed at 60 hours, sure I would have to pay them a little more money for the day for more hours but it would be worth it because more products will have been made.
As a business owner I believe 40 hours is not enough hours to get enough products made. We need as much products as we can get made to earn the kind of money we need to keep up the business, pay the workers, and have the luxuries we deserve as company owners.
