I think that prohibition does not work. It didn't work in the '20s and it doesn’t really work now. In the '20s people could go to a bar and get alcohol on the black market just as fast as when it wasn't banned. Today people seem to be able to get marijuana just as easy because it seems like a decent amount of people do it. Some pros to not prohibiting alcohol would be that the government could tax marijuana sales. There also might be less gang activities with weed being illegal because it's a lot more easily to come by. Some cons are that people might be reckless with the weed. When people smoke the weed in public they may do dumb stuff when their high. Also if weed is legalize people might not think there is a risk to smoking it and more youth might start to smoke it.
