Dude, I totally agree with that statement. Jon Bon Jovi Rocks! We all want to change so fast, but were still in this same era. You know people these days are building flying cars, ipods, 3D-Plasm Screen TV's, etc. But, we aren't losing key traditions, and knocking down old buildings to put really shnazy complexes up. We are actually moving backwards. People are now homeless on the streets, making less money, lossing jobs, moving, can't afford special needs for themselves, and gifts for parties. So even though people say and know we all are making progresses to move forward, we are still falling behind the 8 ball.
i agree 100%. Its not right to take money from people that work there life's away and give it to the people that sit around and feed off of the government
So, everyone who is not a liberal should take up a liberal point of view... Sounds like a little bit of a dictatorship to me! The entire country should embrace liberalism in order to work out the problems we are facing, such as debt, unemployment, war, etc. That is an interesting way to fix the United States, but I don't think that it would work too well. Without another political faction to balance the scale (legislative, judicial, as well as legislative decisions) this country could very easily become much more messed up than it is currently.
Both, our country needs the guidance of and leadership of both liberals and conservatives. Both groups have good and bad ideas that when you put them together great things could happen.
i also agree with you, by balancing the two, our government will have the perfect system. We can't make too much change, but theres always room for it.
i support this because we should need to keep some of the conservative views and beliefs in our country but we should also not be afraid to change what we already have.

Obama is in favor of taking the U.S. troops out of the war, he wants to raise energy standards, and form strong realationships with countries that will work together to solve world issues. I think we should help others that are less fortunate than us. It only seems right to take the time to care and lend a helping hand. On the liberal side, I would say that if we don't move forward, then we will not solve our many growing problems that everyone complains about.
However, I could also see the conservative part of the argument. They believe that people should really have to work for their money and shouldn't be rewarded if they didn't do anything to earn it. Republicans are very anti-communist. I feel that there are definitely flaws in communisum government. People need to be rewarded for doing a good job, they need to strive to be better. If everyone is at "the same level" no one will improve and our society and people will be able to slack off.
Leaning liberal, We do need change but we can't move to fast, if we move too fast we will have many problems and nevver will have time to fix them,,also its good to keep some of the old thing thats work, that gives us a strong foundation to work and grow from.

100% agree! we need to have new things and change but we cant move to fast or we will just have more problems that are more complicated. We also need to keep some of the conservative points of view and beliefs so that we can stay and become a strong country.
We need to become more conservative. We are wasting away a boat-load of Obama Bucks and just getting ourselves in more debt. We need to learn to save more money. However, we need to become more liberal and look for more options to dig us out.
Brent, I believe that you make very good points. We have to make sure that we do not keep spending money in the manner that we have been, or this hole we call debt will become a bottomless abyss of which we have no chance of climbing from. Also, we you say that we have to become more liberal in order for options to dig us out, I think you may be right. Conservatives generally look to the past in order to fix the present, but solutions may not preexist, a liberal view could bring about more options which could be used to get this country out of debt, and possibly fix other problems at the same time.
I don't agree with you becoming more conservative because we also need to have a little bit of liberal. Yes, your right we do need to save money but a lot of people know how to also.
Liberal and conservative together would give our governement the perfect balance. We can't hold on to all of our old ways right now, conservative because we have many economic issues. We need to make change, but not go out of control with the amount of it because too much is never a good thing.
I believe that, at this point in time, the Conservatives have better plans than the Liberals. For example, people who live off the government, without any plans to get a job/work for a living, would have the right to claim part of the money that people who are actually working are making. Basically, those who do nothing all day would get money for doing nothing. Doesn't really make sense, does it? Why should people who work 10, 11, or even 12 hour days, out in the elements all year, have to share their hard-earned money with people who could care less about working or supporting their country? Oh, and taxing the millionaires... that's a good plan. Millionaires and billionaires are the people who create companies, therefore they also create jobs, and increasing their taxes will hurt the economy more than help it. Obama will hardly earn the support of these wealthy individuals by raising their tax rate, who, I might add, are also very helpful when it comes to funding a campaign (for example; a campaign for re-election could be fueled by rich people who would be more than happy to help out a man (Obama) whom they believe in. However, when their taxes are raised by this same man in whom they placed trust and support, do you really think that they will be jumping to give him more money? I wouldn't... If a bill was passed that would increase the amount of money which you had to give to the government, would you still be as supportive of that government?)
I think in politics right now we should be more conservative, because goverrnment should'nt give out so many bail outs. People should work for thier own money, instead of living off of government checks.
I agree to an extent. Everyone needs to work hard for their money and jobs and not live off handouts. From the other point of view, we need change now and cannot keep running our country the way we are.
i believe the conservative is right because in our government today we are fighting with our army against terrorist. And i believe that every person has the right to live
Liberal because at the current state of our economy we need to make changes in order to make it better. what the government is doing right now is not working because people are still struggling for jobs and are having trouble making good money. things need to change so people can find jobs and better support their families.

Being a liberal is promoting maximum individual freedom as well as being open minded and tolerant. A liberal is not afraid to explore and implement new and different ideas even those that may seem strange and unacceptable to the majority.
A conservative is disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, and to limit change (taken from dictionary.com which I think it is a pretty good definition).
I believe in liberal, a bit more, because we do need change for the most part, but we also Don't want to wreck some of the progress we have already made.
I think liberal is best, because we do need change, and our society is always changing. We need to keep changing with it, but yet we can't lose the progress we have already made, and we can't completely change everything.
I think that Conservative politics may help our economy more than Liberal because if we were to look to the past, we may be able to come up with solutions to boost our economic issues as we have done in the past. Although, it is still good to have some Liberals as well to have a different point of view, but I think Conservative politics may help more.

I'm not saying that we don't need to consider more new policies, but I am saying that we should look to the past to see if we can find solutions to our economic problems back in history.
i think that the bill thing that Obama is trying to do is sorta good and sorta bad but mi not a millionaire so i think it is good that he will give me money but that just my opinion
Conservstive, because they believe in their own responsibility, limited government, free markets, their own liberty. They believe that the role of the government should be to give people the freedom to do and have their own goals. They are based on tradition, They prefer a slower process on change than liberal. They want lower taxes and limited government rules.
We would need a little of both because conservatives like to keep things the way they are, but liberal likes a little change. Some change is good, but we also need to keep things the way they are.

Well, i was talking about the government NOT the things we have today. In the past we had the Great Depression, and if we look at what they did then, we will be able to bounce back from the resession today. Plus, i think spending money on people that don't care about having a job and don't have one shouldn't happen because that's making the economy worse.
OK but like I said we need I little of both, people that know what to look for in the future and people that remember what happened in the past, so they can both reach a compromise to fix what is wrong with this country
In politics I believe they should be liberal because we should move into the future and start taxing more for people making more money. Forget about the debt and get plans to get out. Help the people with no money to eat, get a job, etc.
